SCARLET & GOLD RIDERS ~ 4-H Horse Club

The Activity Meeting will be on Sunday October 10th, 4 pm at the Base Stables on Stone Street. In the new building.
 
If there is a Weather WARNING, the meeting will be canceled and we will try to reschedule.

BE PART OF OUR CLUB!

The Club meetings will be held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month (dates may change due to holidays or building conflicts, check upcoming events) at the Base Stables on Stone Street, located aboard Camp Lejeune. We start at 4:00 p.m. Remember, even if you do not own a horse, you will find many areas of interest and you will learn so much!

Some activities that will be available are:

    Horse Bowl: a team competition based on horse knowledge;
    Record Book: record what you have learned about horses;
    Community Services: volunteer your time in the community;
    Public Speaking Presentations: Presenting what you have learned so others may learn from you.
    4-H Horse Shows: show your horse, be a groom or just come and cheer everyone on.
    Horse drawing and painting: Drawing or painting horses

    And much more!!   We look forward to meeting you!!!

   The purpose of the club shall be to provide an opportunity for boys and girls to develop their leadership, character and citizenship skills, to help them lead a more satisfying life by rendering community service, participation in wholesome recreation activities, and provide learning experiences in a wide variety of subjects.
   The membership is open to all boys and girls ages 5 -19 (high school) who have the consent of their parent or guardian.*   No greater than one-third of the membership may be civilian.  Base privileges are not granted solely on the membership in the club.  Members may be responsible for debts and liabilities of the club, based on the state laws of North Carolina.
(* members will be considered irrespective of race, creed, sex, color, handicap or national origin. You must be 6 yrs old to ride a government horse per Base Order)

The 4-H Horse Club meets the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 4 P.M. (dates will change due to holidays, or conflict with Stable functions) Our meetings are held at the Base Stables, located on Stone Street.
